Mixed Media

Being so drawn to color, pattern, and texture, creating levels of interest is my goal for my mixed media work. These pieces are elevated by mounting original watercolor paintings to canvas, then layers of torn paper are added to create interest, depth and movement. I began collecting fine hand made papers some years ago, after being drawn to their stunning beauty, and found this to be the perfect application for them. It adds such dimension to the pieces, that they almost come to life.
